End of PROCSSS
The Way Forward...
Welcome to the latest & final PROCSSS newsletter! More details inside but in short, I'm taking a break for about a month and launching a new newsletter in August. But before I get into all that, I have a ton of great updates to get to so lets jump in...

Heading into July I have work in two shows on two coasts.
Starting this weekend (6/27-6/28), I have a piece in the "Dear Los Angeles" group show at Band of Vices alongside almost 100 other artists. The show is split into two locations with an opening on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Please see the flyer for info and come through if you happen to be in Los Angeles.
Next week, I have a solo exhibition opening at The Werk Gallery in St. Petersberg Florida called "Neighborhood Studies". I created seven collage/paintings using work from my photographic archive that explore Los Angeles as an evolving space. While I won't be able to attend the show in person, we are hoping to have an online artists talk before it closes.
This past Tuesday I had the honor of being a guest on the SOUNDWORKS radio show on KQBHLA 101.5FM out of Boyle Heights hosted by Michael Bessara (a.k.a. Multimedia Militia. It was a great conversation about art and Los Angeles and I'm really appreciate being invited on. The show airs every Tuesday and they always have solid guests, be sure to listen in!

PROCSSS & Schematics
The first half of this year has felt like the end of a transition for me, a process that has taken place publicly across the platforms where I share my work. As a creative medium, my photography remains the foundation of what I do but now it serves as the starting point for my finished pieces. Combining it with my larger artistic practice has unlocked a new direction for me, incorporating my methodical documentation of the urban landscape into an expressive, abstract interpretation of Los Angeles. This shift has been simmering for almost a decade but it's finally complete.
So what does this mean?
It means that you (my supporters and subscribers) will see a few changes over the next month. The biggest change it that I'm retiring this newsletter and launching a new one called "The Secret Schematic". Its named after a self published art book that I released in 2023 and the focus will be on the human side of creativity and what that means in this day and age. MUCH more on this in the near future.
My "True Topographics" photography project (currently a separate newsletter and Instagram account) will continue as well. I created in part to cultivate my love of pure photography and to continue the recording of life in Los Angeles and the urban landscape.
The other changes will be to the website and some other behind the scenes updates. I'm currently working on redesigning the theme and revamping how my work is displayed. I think a lot about what it means to have a website on an internet that's dominated by AI bots and how to make sure my work is reaching real people.
Thank you all so much for rocking with me and the PROCSSS newsletter for almost two years! The debut of the redesigned Nonstndrd Creative Projects and the Secret Schematic newsletter will be coming in late July so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox.
